Opportunity for Public Comment: The Appropriate Treatment of Initial C diff Infection Clinical Quality Measure Concept

IDSA’s Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) is seeking feedback on the Appropriate Treatment of Initial Clostridium difficile Infection (CDI) clinical quality measure concept.

The measure concept was developed by a collaborative workgroup with representatives from the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Clostridium difficile Infection in Adults and Children: 2017 Update by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) writing panel as well as the IDSA QIC. The aim of the workgroup was to develop clinical quality measures to facilitate the use of evidence-based, best practices for the improvement of health outcomes of patients with CDI.

Please visit the public comment survey and provide your feedback. The workgroup will use the results of the survey to refine the measure specifications.

For more information on IDSA’s quality improvement measure concepts, please visit the IDSA Quality Improvement webpage.

The public comment period will be open until Thursday, Feb. 28, 5 PM ET.

If you have any questions, please contact Thomas Kim, Program Officer, Quality Improvement at tkim@idsociety.org.
