Speaking Up for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program
Members of HIVMA’s Ryan White Medical Providers Coalition took to Capitol Hill earlier this month to educate policymakers on the importance of sustaining the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and the need to increase funding for the program to meet the growing demand for HIV care. Coalition members also met with leaders at HRSA’s HIV/AIDS Bureau and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to urge them to fully leverage Ryan White-funded clinics in responding to the opioid epidemic and to direct resources and training to preventing and treating infections associated with the opioid crisis.
