Join IDSA and the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) for an IDWeek premeeting workshop on research training programs, career development, and grant writing strategies for ID physician-scientists on Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 1:00-5:00 PM PDT.
The workshop will include:
- An overview of NIH research training and career development mechanisms, including institutional and individual awards, from NIAID leadership;
- An interactive mock grant review: presenters and participants can vote on how to score de-identified grants and discuss information about eligibility, success rates and strategies for success;
- Mentorship table talks with specialists from leading medical institutions and federal agencies about career pathways for ID physician-scientists.
