New Websites for IDSA & HIVMA

Over the past year, IDSA and HIVMA websites – IDSociety.org and HIVMA.org -- have undergone a major redesign with member needs first and foremost in mind. Based on feedback collected through online member surveys, key stakeholder interviews and an in-person focus group, the major goals of the project were to modernize the technology, provide content that is easier to find, navigation that is more intuitive and user-focused and a design that is more responsive to mobile devices.

With the new sites, we’re excited to bring you:

  • Improved search function.
  • Journal links/articles that are easier to find.
  • Improved access to guidelines content and navigability.
  • Improved dissemination of meeting information and schedules.
  • More prominence to the career center and career resources.

In addition, the new sites place more of an emphasis on multimedia content, allowing us to focus on telling the story of our members and the Society through images and video rather than simply static text.

We unveiled the sites just prior to IDWeek and are still conducting user testing. You may have the opportunity to participate in or see some of your fellow members participating in that user testing during the meeting. Stop by our user testing kiosks near the ID365 Lounge this week to check out the new sites and receive a free gift.

The vision for the sites is that the design will be iterative, allowing us to learn what’s working and what still needs to be improved, continually addressing issues and improving the design in future phases. We would love to hear your feedback.

Look for future messages and tutorial videos in IDSA News and in MyIDSA about the sites about how to make the most out your website experience.
