  • 1.  Seeking Advice on Medicaid HCV Access Advocacy

    Posted 06-15-2026 11:11 AM

    Hi all,

I'm interested in learning from anyone who has successfully helped change state Medicaid policies related to HCV treatment access (e.g., prior authorization requirements, provider restrictions, etc.).

I'm in Arkansas and interested in efforts to remove both provider restrictions and prior authorization requirements. For those who have been involved in similar advocacy work, what strategies were most effective? Who were the key stakeholders, partners, or decision-makers you engaged?

I'd be grateful for any lessons learned or advice.

If you've worked on this in your state and think it would be easier to chat offline, I'd love to connect. Thanks!

    -Liz

We've had success in removing restrictions in WV.  Much easier to discuss by phone or zoom as I'm a lousy typist.  Judith
