The IDSA Leadership Institute is seeking reviewers for the 2022 Community of Leaders application review process. The application review period will be open from December 1 to December 13.

Reviewers will be provided a handbook and brief orientation video to ensure consistency in the selection process.

What is the 2022 Community of Leaders program?

The Community of Leaders is a leadership training activity for mid- and senior-career leaders. It includes asynchronous activities and a two-day, in-person intensive in the Washington, D.C. metro area. The Community of Leaders program is for leaders seeking to:

  • Join growing community of ascending and established leaders from diverse practice settings
  • Establish and communicate a personal philosophy of leadership and management
  • Evaluate and improve essential leadership behaviors through the use of a high-quality, valid, and reliable 360-degree assessment tool (The Leadership Practices Inventory 360) 
  • Codify strategies to plan, manage and implement change initiatives
How are applications reviewed?
  • All reviewers will be given an account in the IDSAF: Application Management System.
  • Applications are reviewed according to a rubric provided by IDSA.
  • Each application is read by 3 different reviewers.
How many applications will I be assigned?
Typically, reviewers are assigned 5 to 10 applications. We estimate that it takes approximately 20 minutes to review one application. 

What happens after I submit my review?
All reviews proceed to a second review group. That group checks applications for potential conflicts of interest, works to ensure that the pool reflects the diversity of the IDSA membership, and checks for significant reviewer disagreement. IDSA announces final decisions in January.

What happens if I have a question or need help?
An IDSA staff person is assigned to support reviewers throughout this process.
