Engage in Mentoring

About Mentor Match

Considering a career in infectious diseases? Interested in fostering the careers of young doctors by sharing your experience in the field of ID? The IDWeek Mentorship Program offers opportunities for mentorship and networking through one-on-one interactions between leaders in the field and fellows, residents and medical students during IDWeek.

Networking begins the first day of IDWeek with a meet-and-greet lunch, after which mentor and mentee design other beneficial interactions such as attending select symposia, named lectures, Posters in the Park, and other networking events together during IDWeek.

New this year, limited $500 travel stipends are available to residents and medical students.  Residents and medical students who receive funding from IDWeek or reside in the New Orleans area are not eligible.  Participating medical students and residents are also eligible to receive one-year complimentary IDSA membership.
